Transfer numbers from your excel into financial objectives in Empiraa

Updated over 10 months ago

This guide will run you through how to set up the very basics of connecting data from a Microsoft Excel sheet to your plan in Empiraa. When a particular row is updated on the sheet, that will be reflected in the financial objective in Empiraa.

This integration requires access to Microsoft Excel, Zapier and Empiraa.

You need the following invite only link to access the beta version of Empiraa within Zapier. Follow the link to get started.

Step 1

The first app will be set as Microsoft Excel (same rules apply if you are using Google Sheets). The event will be new row.

Step 2

Connect your Microsoft account. In the trigger section locate the exact location, spreadsheets and worksheet within that you are using as the source.

Step 3

The data will be listed, select the appropriate row.

Step 4

Add Empiraa as the other application with the event being adding to a financial objective.

Step 5

Connect your Empiraa account.

Step 6

Under action is where we specify which objective we want the data to contribute to. The objective ID can be found by opening the objective details page in Empiraa. To do this go to your myhub dashboard > click the cog next to the objective you want > view objective. On the objective details page in the URL bar there will be a number at the very end of the URL. This is your objective ID.

Step 7

Select the date that you want the data added to Empiraa plus the value which will be automatically filled.

Step 8

Now it’s time to test the action. If you refresh the objective details page in Empiraa, your total value should have adjusted automatically. Now just publish your zap, and it’s ready to go!
