How to update your objective with your latest data

Updated over a week ago

TLDR;

Entering data is easy with Empiraa. When you create your objectives you can set how often you want to capture your data and then you will be regularly reminded to input your metrics. In order to keep on track and have an accurate eye on your progress, it's important to stick to these reminders.

And even better way to track your progress is to move away from manual data entry for good and try our integrations that allow you to connect with 6000+ apps. If this sounds like it's for you, you can check out our API Integration collection on the Help Desk.

Entering Data

You can enter your data from a number of different pages within Empiraa. The process is the same for each of them. In this example we are going to go into the Objective details page and insert our data from there.

Step 1

From the myHub, hover over the cog beside the correct objective and click View Objective.

Step 2

This is the Objective detail page where you can see in-depth how you are tracking and where you are expected to be. This is also where you can chat with teammates and upload relevant documents to the chat.

Step 3

Hover over the cog again and select Enter Actuals.

Enter data into your plan

Step 4

This is the data entry page. Because this objective starts in December 2023 we can only see one month of entry but normally you will see multiple month columns. You can only enter data into a month that you are currently in or previous months before that.

Step 5

Insert your numbers for this months sales and then click Submit Data Entry.

Simply input data

Step 6

Because these are aligned objectives, each number rolls up and contributes to the total value for our objective "Get $300k sales this year". You can go back in and edit these values at any time.

Objectives and aligned objectives

Our top bar of the data entry page will now show your progress. The vertical line shows where you are expected to be this month. We use a simple traffic light system with green meaning it's on track, yellow meaning it's at risk of falling behind and red meaning it needs immediate attention. In this example, we are almost exactly where we need to be which means we can continue on doing the same things next month.
