With the release of Empiraa's 2025 Version 2 update, native integrations are now easier than ever. You can now connect Empiraa directly with platforms like Google Sheets, Slack, and thousands of other apps via Zapier—streamlining workflows, automating data entry, and keeping your strategy plans up to date in real time. Whether you're syncing client updates or feeding data into key objectives, these integrations help reduce admin and boost accountability. This article walks you through how to set up and use these powerful new integrations.
Getting Started with Native Integrations
Accessing the Integrations Page
Log into your Empiraa account.
Click the dropdown menu in the top right corner.
Select Integrations
On the integrations page, you'll find instructions on connecting your Zapier account. While Zapier is recommended for its ease of use, Empiraa also supports other platforms like Make.io and Power Automate through API keys.
Setting Up API Access
To log into your Empiraa account with Zapier you will need your Tenant ID and API key. You will see these fields located on the left side. The API key can be accessed by going to the API Management portal.
We recommend pasting your API key in the blank field on the integrations page for safe keeping.
Finding the API Key
Click the link to the API Management
You will need to login in again via the top right corner of the portal
Once you have logged in go to the "Profile" tab'
The API is listed as "Primary Key"
Expose the key and copy and paste it back into the integrations tab of the main platform for your records.
Provide the key to Zapier when prompted.
Creating a Zap
To set up the transfer of data from one platform into Empiraa you need to create what's called a "zap". We have some popular templates pre-built for you to choose from on the integrations page, or you can search any of the 6000+ apps that Zapier connects with.
Example: Sending data in a Google Sheet into a metric Objective in Empiraa
Step 1: Click the template that says G Sheets to Empiraa. If it's not visible search Google Sheets in the search bar.
Step 2: Connect your Google Sheets account. We want to trigger this zap when a New or Updated Spreadsheet Row occurs.
Step 3: In the configure tab select the right spreadsheet and worksheet. The trigger will be when a value is updated in the data column.

Step 4: Test the records to ensure you can see the right data.
Step 5: Set up your Empiraa connection. This is when you will be prompted to enter your Tenant ID and API key we mentioned above (only required the first time you connect Empiraa to Zapier). The action event for this particular example will be Add to a Metric Objective. So that means when data is updated in the spreadsheet, that will be pulled as a data entry into our metric objective.
Step 6: See below our objective in Empiraa we are feeding data into. The highlighted number tag indicates the objective ID. This number will be required so we can tell Zapier where to send the data.
Step 7: Enter the objective ID under the configure tab and select the correct fields to pull in from our spreadsheet.
Step 8: Test the step. The below screenshots show what the objective data entry looks like before and after testing. We can see the latest field has successfully updated in Empiraa, meaning the Zap is running correctly and is ready to be published!
