Templates make it fast and easy to create strategy plans that follow a proven structure. Whether you’re using an Empiraa default template or one of your own custom ones, building a plan from a template helps you get started in seconds—not hours.
Follow the steps below to build a plan from a template.
Step 1: Access Templates
You need to have the Collaborator access level to access the templates. If you cannot see the myPortal tab in the top menu bar go to the menu dropdown > user management > edit your user > change the access level to collaborator.
Only admins and collaborators can change access levels so if you cannot do this, get your account admin to do this for you.
Here you will see all your templates plus the default Empiraa templates. Press the button Create account for template.
The template account will open and now you can edit as much or as little as you want.
2. Add Users and Teams
The first step is to add your clients as users and anyone else in their team that is going to have access to this plan. You can do that by going to the dropdown menu in the top right corner, selecting plan setup and navigating to step 2.
Create some teams on this page. We suggest building them to reflect the organization structure. We also suggest building an all staff team that everyone is a part of.
Navigate to step 3 and assign new users to the correct teams.
3. Edit objectives and assign to people
Navigate to myHub and click the cog button on the objective you would like to edit. Select objective manager.
Click the edit button in the top right hand side and then edit the name, person assigned and target numbers.
Press save changes to apply these.
In the Objective Manager, you cannot change all the details. If you would like to change details such as whether its a KPI vs OKR or the length of the objective you will have to go into the full objective editor which can be accessed by clicking the cog and selecting Edit Objective.
After you have finished editing your objectives and assigning them correctly, the plan is now ready to share with your clients.
